A New Twist – Ride before Sunrise

Rode my bike to work today. I’ve never ridden to work this late in the season. Scooter and I left the house at 6:15am — sunrise was at 6:40am. That meant we had to ride in the pre-dawn light for a while which was a brand new experience for me. I was keenly aware of the dangers involved with riding in low (or no!) light. Last week I purchased a high quailty headlight for Scooter to go with his 5-LED flashing tail light. As for me, I added a reflective vest and long tights to my attire. Even with all this — I was extra alert this morning and rode assuming cars might not be seeing me on the side of the road.

Was fun to see the sun come up — it was a bright red orb surrounded by lots of clouds.

Once the sun came up, I swore I saw a buffalo! Idid, I did, I did!

The buffalo has a great place to hang out. There’s a greenbelt are along CO Hwy 7 where Anthem, Colorado is. Unlike what I am used to in New England, out here, they just build towns when they feel like a little expansion is in order.  One day it is a dusty open prairie and the next it is a new town filled with brand new, HUGE homes — with an awesome view of the foothills.
